Life Members 2014

A Texas scramble played on the Thursday afternoon set the scene for the club’s annual Life Members tournament and Open Championship, Harris Tweed Jacket competition. This is the second year of including a Texas scramble, due to the popularity of last year’s event now forms a permanent place in the overall programme.

The life members tournament, as always gets off with much jollity as members meet up with old friends. This year’s event the weather was a little kinder than in the past still quite windy but at least dry!!Forty competitors took part in this year’s competition.

Results, the Clark brothers from Royal Aberdeen forged ahead of the field. Frances Clark won the day with a par round of 68 good shooting Michael Clark finished second with a commendable score of 73.The ladies scratch was won by Susanne Graham North Berwick score 81 Pam Jake with a score of 84 was runner up. The men’s handicap was won by Willy Mackay Royal Donoch with a grand net score of 62,second place with a close score of 63 R D Morrison of Dubliner.

Ladies handicap was won by Morag Wallace Inverness with a net score of 70.in second place was Nan Morrison Dunblane net score 72.

Our thanks to those life Members for continuing to support this family event. Also to all our Life Members for their on- going support to the Club over the years.
